Updated: Jan 4

Time: 4 hours

This is one of the most demanding treks that we can find in Futaleufú, however, it is one that will surely leave you with your mouth open and wondering how a place with so much beauty can exist.

To get there it is essential to take the bus that goes to Chaiten at 11:00AM, or if you have your own car, much better.

From the Hostel we have to take the road in the direction of exit to the southern highway if we have our own car, or take the bus from the terminal, in both cases we have to get to about 24 km outside, exactly at the Yacaru Restaurant, when you see this sign indicating the place, you can enter and from there you have to talk to the owners.

The guys at the restaurant will give you the necessary instructions regarding safety and how to follow the route in an orderly and detailed manner. They are also in charge of doing the complete tour. It is also worth mentioning that they serve some very delicious meals here, ideal to eat upon returning from such a long excursion.

The restaurant guys charge $3,000 pesos (approx. USD 3) for the entrance, as a commission for road maintenance, information and security.
